Overview
Calendar Properties control how your liturgical calendar looks and behaves across your website. These settings let you customize fonts, fasting information display, layout options, and calendar sharing features. Changes you make here apply to all calendar displays on your site.
Accessing Calendar Properties
- Navigate to Components → Monthly Calendar
- Click "Edit" next to Calendar Properties in the Customization section
- Configure the settings described below
- Click "Save Changes" when finished
Font Settings
Viewing Font
Controls how text appears when people view your calendar on computers and phones.
Font Family Choose the style of text for your calendar:
- Sans-serif options (Arial, Verdana, Helvetica) - Modern, clean appearance
- Serif options (Times New Roman) - Traditional, formal appearance
Header Size How large the calendar headers appear (month name, day names).
Normal Size How large the regular calendar text appears (feast names, service times).
Tips:
- Headers should be larger than normal text for easy reading
- Test on your phone to make sure text is readable
- Sans-serif fonts are usually easier to read on screens
Printing Font
Controls how text appears when people print your calendar.
Font Family, Header Size, Normal Size Same options as viewing fonts, but specifically for printed calendars.
Tips:
- Serif fonts (Times) are traditional for printed materials
- Print fonts can be slightly smaller than screen fonts
- Use the browser's Print Preview to test before deciding
Fasting Information
Controls how fasting rules appear on your calendar.
Display Style
- Use colored boxes: Fasting information appears in colored boxes that stand out
