The Profile page is where you enter your parish's core information — your name, address, contact details, and a few important settings. This is the foundation of your website, so it's worth taking a few minutes to fill it out completely.
To access it, go to your Site Manager admin area and click Profile in the navigation menu.
1. Parish Name & Jurisdiction
Start with the basics:
- Name — Enter your full parish name as you'd like it to appear on your website.
- Jurisdiction — Enter your jurisdiction (e.g., Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, OCA, Antiochian, ROCOR, etc.).
💡 Tip: These fields appear throughout your site, so make sure the spelling and capitalization are exactly how you want them displayed publicly.
2. Mailing Address
Enter your parish's official mailing address. This is typically your P.O. Box or the address used for correspondence.
- Address — Street number and name (or P.O. Box)
- City / Town
- State / Province
- Zip Code / Postal Code
- Country
3. Physical Location (If Different)
If your church building is located at a different address than your mailing address, enter it here. This is useful for helping visitors find you with a map or directions.
If your mailing and physical addresses are the same, you can leave this section blank.
4. Contact Information
Enter how people can reach your parish:
- Phone — Your main parish phone number
- Fax — Optional; leave blank if not applicable
- Email — Your general contact email address
💡 Tip: This email address may be used for contact form submissions and other website-generated messages, so make sure it's a monitored inbox.
5. Additional Information
Time Zone
Select the time zone for your parish location. This affects how events and calendar times are displayed on your site. Choose the time zone that matches where your parish is physically located.
Ecclesiastical Calendar
Choose which calendar your parish follows:
- Old Calendar (Julian) — Used by many Russian, Serbian, Georgian, and Jerusalem patriarchate parishes
- New Calendar (Revised Julian) — Used by Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian, and others
💡 Tip: This setting affects how feasts and fasting days are calculated and displayed in your calendar system.
6. Featured Image
You can select a featured image for your parish — typically your church building, iconostasis, or another representative photo. Click the image preview area to open the image selector and choose from your media library.
This image is used as the default preview image when someone shares your website on social media platforms like Facebook. It's what appears in the link preview card, so choose something visually appealing and representative of your parish.
💡 Tip: Use a high-quality, landscape-oriented photo for best results on social media. Avoid images with important details near the edges, as some platforms crop the preview.
7. Online Status
The Website Offline toggle lets you temporarily take your site offline — for example, while you're doing a major redesign or update. When turned on, visitors will see an offline message instead of your regular website.
If you enable the offline mode, additional options will appear:
- Passcode — Set a secret code so that authorized users (like your staff) can still access the site while it's offline.
- Offline Message — Write a short message for visitors explaining the situation (e.g., "Our website is temporarily under maintenance. Please check back soon.").
- Countdown — Optionally set a date for when the site will be back online. A countdown timer will be displayed to visitors.
- Countdown Colors — Customize the text and background colors of the countdown timer.
- Column Layout — Adjust the layout of the offline page, including background images and column widths for the left and right sections.
💡 Tip: Leave the site online unless you specifically need to take it down. The offline toggle is easy to forget, and visitors won't be able to access your content while it's enabled.
