Share Links

The Share Links plugin adds social sharing buttons to your website, allowing visitors to easily share pages with others on popular social networks. These buttons can appear in the header, footer, or on article-style pages such as news items.

Accessing the Share Links Plugin

Navigate to:

Social → Plugins → Share Links

This page allows you to control where the share buttons appear and which social networks are available for sharing.

Display Locations

You can choose where the share buttons appear on your website.

Header

Controls whether sharing buttons appear in the page header.

  • No – The share buttons will not appear in the header.
  • Yes, use page URL – The share links reference the specific page being viewed.
  • Yes, domain – The share links reference your website’s main domain instead of the individual page.

You can also choose the alignment of the header buttons:

  • Left
  • Center
  • Right

Footer

Controls whether share buttons appear in the site footer.

The same options are available as the header:

  • No
  • Yes, use page URL
  • Yes, domain

Footer buttons also support left, center, or right alignment.

"More Info" Pages

This setting controls whether share buttons appear on detailed content pages such as news articles or other pages that display expanded information.

Options include:

  • No
  • Yes, use page URL
  • Yes, domain

You can also choose the alignment for this location.

Social Network Options

You can choose which social networks appear in the share buttons.

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google+ (legacy platform)
  • Pinterest

Enable or disable each network depending on where you want visitors to be able to share your content.

Appearance Settings

Skin

Controls the visual theme used for the sharing buttons.

  • classic
  • flat_dark
  • flat_light
  • birman

Show Counters

When enabled, the buttons display the number of shares associated with the page.

Show Text

When enabled, descriptive text appears alongside the icons.

Style

Controls how the buttons are arranged.

  • horizontal – Buttons appear in a row.
  • vertical – Buttons appear stacked vertically.
  • single button – Displays one compact share button.

Saving Changes

After adjusting your settings, click Save to apply the changes. The share buttons will automatically update wherever they are displayed on your website.
