The Social Tabs plugin adds expandable social media tabs to the side of your website. These tabs allow visitors to quickly access and interact with your social media profiles without leaving the page. When a visitor clicks a tab, a panel slides open displaying content from the selected social network.
Accessing Social Tabs
Navigate to:
Social → Plugins → Social Tabs
From this page you can control whether the tabs appear, where they are positioned, and how they are styled.
Display Settings
Show
Controls whether the social tabs appear on your website.
- No – The tabs will not appear on the site.
- Yes – Tabs appear on all pages.
- Yes, but not on mobile – Tabs appear on desktop and tablet devices but are hidden on mobile screens.
Position
Determines where the tabs appear on the side of the page.
- Left Top
- Left Middle
- Left Bottom
- Right Top
- Right Middle
- Right Bottom
Attachment
Controls how the tabs behave when visitors scroll the page.
- Fixed – The tabs remain in place as the visitor scrolls.
- Absolute – The tabs scroll with the page content.
Appearance Settings
Color Scheme
Controls the visual appearance of the tab background and text.
- Dark background, white font
- Dark background, white font with color hover
- White background, dark font
- White background, dark font with color hover
- White background, color font
- Color background, white font
Edge Radius
When enabled, the edges of the tabs will be rounded instead of square.
1px Spacer
Adds a thin separator line between individual social tabs for clearer visual separation.
Shadow
Adds a subtle drop shadow to the tabs to create depth and improve visibility against the page background.
Opacity on Non-Hover
When enabled, the tabs appear slightly transparent until a visitor hovers over them, at which point they become fully visible.
Half Hidden
When enabled, the tabs are partially hidden off the edge of the screen until the visitor hovers over them. This helps reduce visual distraction while keeping the tabs accessible.
Saving Changes
After adjusting your settings, click Save to apply the changes. The Social Tabs will automatically update on your website.
