Password protecting pages

You can password protect a page and its subpages by going to "Pages" then "properties" next to the desired page. Under "Security", change "Use Password Protection" to "Yes".

You may then select whether or not to "Protect Subpages".

Finally, choose your "Access Type":

  1. Require a username and password.
  2. Require a passcode.
  3. Require any account login.
  4. Require specific account(s) login.

Once the above changes have been saved, visitors to this page will be prompted for whatever "Access Type" you selected before they can view the contents of the page.

NOTES:

  • If you are logged into the Site Manager, you will not be prompted for the username and password on the password protected pages/areas because the system realizes that you are authenticated as the administrator. To test the password protection, please be sure to log out of the Site Manager first.
  • Protecting pages only keep unauthorized users from seeing the page's content, it does not secure uploaded files in the "Files" area. To protect file, please use a file sharing service like Google Drive, Box.com, etc..
