The Shipping Services configuration allows you to select which shipping methods are available to customers during checkout. These services are provided by your configured shipping provider and determine the delivery options customers can choose when placing an order.
Accessing Shipping Services
Navigate to:
Store → Configuration → Shipping Services
This page lists all shipping carriers and services available through your configured shipping provider.
Available Carriers
The system retrieves available carriers from your connected shipping provider. Depending on your account and configuration, the following carriers may be available:
- USPS
- UPS
- FedEx
Each carrier section displays the individual shipping services offered by that carrier.
Enabling Shipping Services
Each shipping service includes a toggle switch that allows you to enable or disable it.
- Enabled – The shipping service will be available to customers during checkout.
- Disabled – The service will not appear as a shipping option.
Examples of services that may appear include:
- Priority Mail
- First-Class Mail
- UPS Ground
- UPS 2nd Day Air
- FedEx Ground
- FedEx Express
Only the services you enable will be offered to customers.
How Shipping Rates Work
When a customer reaches checkout, the system sends the shipping address and package details to the shipping provider. The provider then returns real-time shipping rates for the enabled services. The customer can choose from the available options and the selected shipping rate is added to the order total.
Recommended Configuration
To avoid confusing customers with too many choices, it is generally recommended to enable only the most commonly used services for your store.
For example:
- One standard shipping option (such as Ground or Priority Mail)
- One expedited option
- Optional overnight service if needed
Saving Changes
After selecting the shipping services you wish to offer, click Save to apply your changes. The enabled services will immediately become available during checkout.
